Anticipating Christmas in Chicago

Christmas is a week away! It doesn't quite seem like Christmas to me with the 60-70 degree weather. Then again, I don't think I would trade in for anything colder. We are going to Chicago this year to visit my family and have decided to drive. I haven't figured out if our driving decision is a good or bad thing yet...I'll probably have a very strong opinion about that at the end of the trip. I am, however, very excited to go back to Chicago. Our time actually in town will be a little limited because we're splitting the driving into two days both ways, but it will sure be nice to be home again. These are the things I'm looking forward to:

- Seeing my family...I haven't seen extended family in a good two years

- Eating pizza downtown at Uno's...if I don't get to do this, I will be devestated :(

- Seeing the skyline

- Snow (the look of it, but not the cold)

- Eating cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning

- Having a yummy hot drink at the Caribou on Glenview Rd. and Waukegan

- Game night with the extended family on Christmas Day...I now know how to play Sequence and can join in on the fun

Meet Froggie

Hello, this is Jackson Schoolfield and I wanted to introduce you to my very good friend, Froggie. He is soft and squishy and very green. I love to carry him around the house and he keeps me company when Mommy and Daddy are at work and running errands. We do sneaky things when they are away, like sit on the couch.

Froggie is a great friend, but he doesn't have any eyes. I decided to bite them off. Mommy caught me, but I think I swallowed one. I don't know why I did that, but Froggie doesn't mind. He is a good friend.

Shane & Shane

Matt and I went to a Shane & Shane concert last night and had a great time. Phil Wickham and Bethany Dillon played too. Gosh, those guys have some voices and can belt! Aside from having to run to the bathroom about 3 times during the concert (Abigail was kicking away at my bladder), I was pretty comfortable. I couldn't stand for the whole time, so I took advantage of sitting, listening, and people watching. Which brings me to my next point.

So my question is this: What is with couples who make out and completely flirt with each other during a Christian concert??? I mean, it's not like we go to many...we're pretty particular about who we like to listen to, so maybe this is normal and I just don't know. I was just amused by the couple a few rows up from us. You've got Shane & Shane belting their hearts out about Jesus and this couple all over each other...weird. Anyways, aside from that weirdness, the evening was wonderful and the music, amazing!

I am now down to working two days at the hospital and winding down there as the pregnancy nears the end. So, I now have more time to devote to fun things...and stuff that I should be doing anyway. Thus, the commencement of this blog.
