June 2-9 is appropriately named Birthday Freebie Extravaganza Week at the Schoolfield household. See, my birthday is one week before Matt's, and we take advantage of all the birthday freebies that are out there. And there are a ton! Restaurants and businesses are so generous, and all it takes is just signing up on their webpages. I think Matt was a bit skeptical of it all, but I signed him up anway and he loves it just as much as I do now. Just a tip, you can sign up for a separate email address for stuff like this so that you don't get junk in your personal email. Just this past month, this is what I received for free just for being born :)
- Entree at Noodles & Company
- Burrito at Moe's
- Hamburger at Red Robin
- Ice cream at Baskin Robbins
- Ice cream at Coldstone
- Julius drink at Orange Julius
- Drink of my choice at Starbucks
- Coffee/tea at Borders
- $5 gift certificate at DSW (I ended up getting free socks...exciting, I know)
- $10 gift certificate at World Market (Got a canister for bread flour and Nutella...love that stuff)
- Birthday Gift at Sephora (ended up being a cute set of mascara, eyeliner, and eye shadow)
Collin, over at Hip2Save has an EXTENSIVE list of birthday freebies. Click here to see it. Try it out, cause it certainly makes your birthday even more exciting!

Matt's 30th Birthday
We had a wonderful time celebrating Matt's 30th birthday last week. Amazingly fun surpriser, I am not, but I wanted to surprise Matt with special visitors to help him celebrate.
Ding dong...Surprise! It's Matt's mom, dad, and Shelby (our niece) who drove from Tallahassee to spend a few days with us. Matt was thoroughly shocked!
We had a fun time going to the outlet mall in Smithfield...
But it sure made for a long day!
A relaxing time was had by all. The guys later kicked my mother-in-law off the couch because they said there was not enough room. Not very nice, guys.
Happy #30, Matt! Don't look so thrilled.
Here, maybe this will put a smile on your face :)
Happy birthday to my wonderful husband!

Frugal Friday: $20 Car Seat
We needed an extra car seat for Matt's truck and ended up getting this Evenflo Triumph Advance car seat (retail price $139.99 and top rated by Consumer Reports) for $20! How did we do this? Well, by using my Swagbucks and ExpoTV winnings. I've been rewarded with Swagbucks for doing simple online searches and have been using my winnings to buy Amazon cards ($60 worth!). And I ended up winning a $25 Amazon card from ExpoTV for a referral I made. So, combining the Amazon sale and my giftcards, we spent $20 of our own money. See? Isn't it worth it?!
Getting Swagbucks for simple searches is so easy to do and pays out in the end. It's free to sign up and, as you can see, well worth it! Try it out and see :)
You can read my post about Swagbucks here (since posting this, Swagbucks changed their prize increments...makes it even better to win now!)
